I can’t believe how awesome this investment property looks now.

There’s nothing better than walking through a newly renovated investment property for the first time. Today I’m coming to you live from a client’s latest investment venture, which they purchased this spring. The property was in pretty bad shape when they got it; basically, the entire interior needed to be redone, and there was some damage caused by a leaky roof. It all needed to be fixed, but it gave us the perfect opportunity to make some changes that’ll boost the home’s value as a rental.

"I’m so happy with how the property is turning out, and we’re excited to get some renters into this beautiful home."

We scraped off the popcorn ceiling, which immediately made the home seem much newer. We brought in vinyl plank floors, big baseboards, and beautiful paint, and the look came together perfectly. We also reformatted the first floor’s layout and turned part of the living/dining room area (which was a poor use of square footage) into a home office. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to put an office-style area, and I’m excited to see what people think of it.

Though the property is almost completely ready, there are still a few more odds and ends we need to finish up. For example, we need some smoke detectors—and you might need some too. It’s a good idea to change out your detectors every five years or so, as dust buildup can affect their detection abilities. Fortunately, installation is incredibly easy.

I’m so happy with how the property is turning out, and we’re excited to get some renters into this beautiful home. If you have any questions or would like more information about buying, selling, or home investments, feel free to reach out to me. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
